Abstract

The whitefly genus Martiniella Jesudasan and David is reviewed and the generic characters have been redefined. Five species of Aleuroclava viz., A. baccaureae (Corbett), A. fici (Corbett), A. macarangae (Corbett), A. sepangensis Martin and Mound and A. srilankaensis (David) have been assigned to Martiniella proposing new combinations. M. sepangensis (Martin and Mound) so far known from Malaysia is reported for the first time from India and the species is redescribed. Key to the species of the genus Martiniella is given.
