First record of the genus Gaurax Loew (Chloropidae: Oscinellinae: Botanobiini) from India with descriptions of six new species

Abstract

The Genus Gaurax Loew is recorded for the first time from India. Six new species, amnoni, bimaculatus, indicus, ninani, shillongensis and tomentosus and an unnamed species are described from India. A key to Indian species of Gaurax is also given.
