Abstract

Morphological characterization of the two species of monkey grasshoppers, Xenerianthus affinis (Westwood, 1843) and Erianthina deflorata (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1893) collected from the northeastern state of Meghalaya, India is given. Erianthina deflorata has been recorded for the first time from India. A key to separate the two genera is also provided.
